  • Discuss the need for MI
  • Define the ingredients for change
  • Recognize MI moments or opportunities
  • Explain how to conduct a motivational interviewing conversation
  • Recite the 10 MI guidelines
  • State the importance of using OARS in motivational interviewing
  • Describe a typical MI conversation
  • Identify roadblocks
  • Identify conversations that use motivational interviewing techniques
  • List reasons why patients may have difficulty managing health-related behaviors

The McKesson Evaluation and ACPE Evaluation must be completed, and passing CE Mastery Exam is required to complete the course.
